Emma

Owner

Emma is the Head of Coach Education for PTR (Professional Tennis Registry) for the UK and she is the first female to hold this international director position. With almost 20 years of experience in the Sports and Leisure industry she has made a significant impact in both public and private sector as well as sports development.

She is the sole owner of Emma Wells Tennis which was launched in 2018, a successful Tennis Club in Wimbledon Park which has over 700 weekly players and operates 365 days a year. Earlier this year she expanded and opened a sister site in Roehampton (London) with a team of 6 full time coaches.As an experienced tutor and a trainer for the LTA and PTR and has worked closely with the LTA in developing the Tennis For Kids program from 2015-18 as well as managing the implementation of other LTA programs.

Emma is a public speaker and has delivered several international symposiums for PTR, she has delivered clinics for the USTA at the National Campus as well as speaking at other events including; Evolve 9, WTCA, Coach the Coaches, etc. She has worked with Women’s Health Magazine and was interviewed live on national TV on different occasions. Her most recent appearances were on ITV This Morning show with over 1 million viewers and BBC,which broadcasted the Cinch Championship Draw in Emma's newest venue earlier this year. Her efforts have earned her two consecutive Surrey Tennis awards and her international recognition has led her to be the personal tennis coach for an international royal family.

Zoe


Role models are hugely important for juniors in our program and Zoe has come a long way since she came across to us almost 3 years ago.

Zoe is a fantastic example of a young woman that is maturing into a great young coach as a result of her strong ethic and maturity beyond her years she won the 'Surrey Young Person of the Year' for 2022.

Yuka


Yuka is our office manager and you will probably be in contact with her at some point and endeavours to offer the best customer service for our tennis community.

Yuka is a huge support to both the front end and the back end of the business, is also a parent and plays tennis herself regularly.

Hamish


Hamish is an experienced USPTA qualified tennis coach. Having more than 8 years and 8000plus hours of experience coaching and being mentored under the Ivan Lendl Tennis academy umbrella in New York, Hamish has been an Adult tennis director, managed USTA men’s and women’s leagues, run pickleball leagues and coached junior tennis from red ball through to high performance college bound players. He has also in parallel, started, built and sold his own marketing and technology agency over the last 15 years.

His teaching style is game and play based learning centered around clear learning themes. He loves seeing players fall in love with the game and grow in all respects as they learn.

Hamish has spent a couple of decades of his life running ultramarathons across the lowest, highest, coldest and hottest places on the planet. He loves running for days across deserts, self sufficient and setting ridiculous endurance targets for himself. He balances his sporting life with his family, who are spread across New York, New Orleans and London.

Aziz


Aziz has worked with Virtus Tennis Coaching in Tunbridge Wells and with the National Governing Body in Kazakhstan where he and his team was awarded as the best team of coaches in 2019 and 2021 nationally.

His club also collaborated in an exchange of Stefanos Tsitipas and his team in Dubai. Aziz has worked with loads of beginners in Antalya, Turkey and has also worked in The Tennis Academy in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. He has played several professional tournaments such as ITF Futures and Challenger events and for Hype Tennis League in Spain.

Aziz speaks 4 languages: Uzbek, English, Turkish and Russian.

Strategy Director Lucia


After a career in journalism, Lucia found herself gravitating towards roles where she could optimise projects and clients relationships. Lucia made the jump into Account Management/Project Management 10 years ago and has worked with various enterprise clients such as Disney, Unilever, NHS, Department of Education, Which?, Nestle, Primark, Pfizer, Roche, etc.

Lucia has held roles for the largest companies in each sector and she is now working to support the business strategy and growth of Emma Wells Tennis.

Lucia is committed to making tennis more accessible to members of the community and with her expertise she is helping expand its reach and provide more opportunities for people to experience the joys of tennis.

Amore


Coach Amore is a passionate sports enthusiast with a knack for coaching and a love for competition and proudly donned the colours of the University of Essex in local matches and even on the international stage. Back home in South Africa, Amore represented her county with pride before bringing her skills to the courts of Wivenhoe Tennis Club, where they swept all of their league victories last year.

Coaching is where Coach Amore’s heart lies. She is a qualified LTA and RPT Mark of a Pro coach and able to work with juniors, adults of all levels helping them unlock their full potential. Coach Amore is excited to be part of everyone's tennis journey no matter what stage you are on. ‘Together, let's grow, learn, and celebrate success, both on and off the court!’

Xioatian


Coach Xioatian is a national level athlete from China and a former student-athlete with a strong background in collegiate leagues and ITF competitions.

With over 7 years of experience of coaching players at all skill abilities, including young ITF competitors, Xiaotiamn brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the court.

Xioatian is fluent in both Mandarin and English. Book a lesson with Coach Xioatian on Monday, Tuesday or Saturday.

Lahouari


Lahouari is very positive as a coach on the court and is player centred, and really focuses on providing that supportive journey for every player. Lahoauri was ranked No2. for U16 in North of Africa.

Lahouari has been coaching tennis to all levels from beginners to performance for the last 28 years. Lahouari is extremely dedicated and passionate about improving a player’s ability and is always approachable in the club. Lahouari is extremely dedicated and passionate about improving a player’s ability.

Lahouari is based predominantly at our Roehampton site on a Monday, Tuesday and Saturday afternoon.

Emely


Growing up, Emely has trained and competed in several countries. Recently Emely graduated with the University of Tennessee Southern whilst competing for them at Collegiate level. Emely was their Graduate Assistant for her last year for both the Men’s and Women’s team. Emely has worked at both Providence Tennis Academy in the states and also several clubs in London.

Emely is both fluent in English and in Spanish and her favourite shot is backhand down the line and favorite players are Carlos Alcaraz and Roger Federer.
